  1. Activate Office 365 versions of Office for Mac. If your organization has an Office 365 (or Microsoft 365) plan, make sure you assign each user a license for Office before you deploy Office for Mac to your users. If you don't assign a user a license, you can still deploy Office for Mac to that user, but the user won't be able to activate and use Office.
  2. I just looked at a recent Dell Invoice and Office 2016 H&B license, nothing there to tell you if it's OEM. If you can remember how much it cost to add that to the system during purchase, that should be the clue. It's $229.99 at the MS online store, if you got it way cheaper (like $99), its safe to assume it's OEM. Was this post helpful?
  3. After the license validates, it will activate the product, and you can click Start Using Word to open and start using Office for Mac. Multiple licenses and key already used error? If you try to activate a one-time install of Office for Mac and you get the error: Key already used, you will need to select another license to use.

First question: If I erase the hard drives on the computers being replaced and donate them with blank hard drives can I install Office on the new replacement computers without purchasing additional licenses?
